Technopark- Phase 3 in Thiruvananthapuram covering an area of 100 acres, near existing Technopark Campus is notified as a sector specific Special Economic Zone (SEZ). Technocity coming up in Palippuram, Thiruvananthapuram to be the country’s largest IT Park coming up in 500 acres. Technopark, Kollam located in 44.46 acres of prime land at Kundra near Ashtamudi Lake, Kollam has been granted SEZ status by the Ministry of Commerce, Government of India. Infopark, Ambalapuzha located in 100 acres of land in Gandhi Smrithivanam in Purakkad Village, Ambalapuzha Taluk of Alappuzha District to be the first water theme IT Park in the country. Infopark, Cherthala located in Pallipuram village, Cherthala taluk, Alappuzha District has total of 66 acres of which 60 acres has been notified as sector specific SEZ. Infopark, Koratty in 30 acres of land in Thrissur District. Infopark-Phase2 to come up in Kunnathunad and Puthencruz villages of Kunnathunad Taluk of Ernakulam District in 160 acres as an eco-friendly green park. Cyberpark, Kozhikode to be built in an area of 43 acres in Nellikode and Pantheerankavu villages of Kozhikode Taluk with SEZ status. Cyberpark, Kannur covering 25 acres of land near Eramom village, Taliparamba Taluk of Kannur district. Cyberpark, Kasaragod to come up in a 100-acre plot near Cheemeni village, Hosdurg Taluk, Kasaragod.

Around 43 acres of land notified in Nellikkode and Pantheerankavu villages of Kozhikode District, near Medical College at Chevayur for Cyberpark. Kollam IT Park located in 44.46 acres of prime land at Kundara near Ashtamudi Lake, Kollam for which SEZ status has been granted by the Ministry of Commerce, Government of India. Technopark to commission their IT building of 1 lakh sq. ft., apart from the works relating to the construction of 110kV substation, sewage treatment plant, water distribution system, embankment protection, etc. Infopark, Ambalapuzha is located in 100 acres of land in Gandhi Smrithivanam in Purakkad Village, Ambalapuzha Taluk of Alappuzha District. 33 acres of land has been notified as a Special Economic Zone by the Ministry of Commerce, Government of India via notification dated 18 November 2009. Infopark, Cherthala is located on 60.6 acres of land was purchased from KSIDC in the Industrial Growth Centre in Pallipuram Village, Cherthala Taluk of Alappuzha District. 60 acres has been notified as a Special Economic Zone by the Ministry of Commerce on 8 June 2009. Infrastructure development activities including construction of compound wall, water treatment plant, sewage treatment plant and 110kV substation are in progress. Infopark, Kochi was entrusted as the implementing agency for renovating the existing buildings fitted out as IT Buildings in Koratty, Thrissur. These buildings are occupied by many companies. Infopark isalso constructing a new building at Koratty. Kannur IT Park in 30 acres of land near Eramom Village, Thaliparamba Taluk of Kannur district is already under possession, Construction of the compound wall going on. Kasaragod IT Park cover 100-acre plot near Cheemeni Village, Hosdurg Taluk of Kasaragod District. Construction of the compound wall commencing, building plans yet to be finalised. SEZ notification has been obtained for the project. Technolodges were set up at Kadakkal, Perinad, Veliyam and Piravom Panchayats under the Technolodge scheme of Government of Kerala. Piravom Technolodge has started successfully functioning. KSITIL appointed as the implementing agency for setting up ICT Academy of Kerala by the Ministry of Information and Communication Technology. Actions have been initiated to set up the same at the earliest.

Information and Communication Technology Academy of Kerala was incorporated as a company under Section 25 of the Companies Act,1956 on 19 November 2013. Pala:Infocity Pala covering an extent of approximately 45-acre at Meenachil Taluk, Vallichira Village, Pala, Kottayam District. Infocity Pala aims to provide the entire infrastructure and support facilities needed for IT/TeS companies. Preliminary steps for land acquisition are progressing.

Lease agreement was entered in between KSITIL and Cyberpark, Kozhikode on 17 of November, 2011 in which it was mentioned that the land reserved for Cyberpark's own development is 10% of the land leased to Cyberpark having an extent of 44.38 acres at free of cost. However, KSITIL leased 5 acres of land to Cyberpark for their own development.

IT Park, Kollam: The approach road work is in progress. 4.4 acres of land is leased to Electronic Technology Park of Kerala for obtaining co-developer status under the SEZ Act. A number of startup companies have commenced operations within the first IT building of Technopark. State of Kerala. It is responsible for pioneering the execution of several major projects and a number of projects are in the pipeline of implementation. IT Park, Ambalapuzha: Since there are environmental issues on the selected location, the project is being reviewed. IT Park, Cherthala: Necessary infrastructure development activities including construction of compound wall, water treatment plant, sewage treatment plant, road, substation, etc. has been constructed and commissioned. The first IT building of 2.4 lakh sq. ft. is completed and commenced operations. Currently 13 IT/ITeS Companies are functioning from this Park operation employing 250 IT professionals. IT Park, Thrissur: Infopark Kochi is also constructing a new building of 3.3 lakh sq. ft. at Koratty. KSITIL has entered into a contract with Kerala Water Authority for supply of 2 MLD potable water from Chalakudy River at an estimated cost of Rs. 6.48 Crores. 50% of the advance amount was paid to KWA. The work is in progress. 6 acres of land was leased to Infopark Kochi and a co-developer agreement was executed under SEZ Act. IT Park, Kozhikode: Infrastructure development including road and land has been completed. The Common Facility Centre of Cyberpark is functional with the presence of administrative office and some start-up companies. The construction of first IT building of 2.88 Lakh sq. ft. of Cyberpark is progressing. Steps have been initiated to implement the power and water supply of projects in Cyberpark. Out of 44.40 acres of land, 5 acres of land was leased to Cyberpark, and 1 acre will be leased to Centre for Research and Education for Social Transformation (CREST) to set up an independent campus. IT Park, Kannur: Construction of the compound wall is completed. The architectural cum engineering design for the first proposed IT building have been finalised. SEZ status was obtained for the project. KSITIL set up Technolodges at Kadakkal, Perinad, Veliyam, Piravom and Mayyil. The logo of “Technolodge” was registered under Trade Marks Act. Infocity, Pala: Preliminary steps for land acquisition are progressing. Indian Institute of Information Technology – Kerala: KSITIL was appointed as the implementing agency for setting up of IIT-Kerala. The implementation of IIIT-K in Kottayam District of Kerala is in a N-PPP (Not-for-profit) Public Private Partnership model. The Ministry of Human Resources Development, Government of India has formulated a scheme wherein 20 new IIIT’s are proposed to be established in the country. A major objective in establishing IIIT’s is to set up an education model which can produce best-in-class human resources in IT and which can harness the multi-dimensional facets of IT in various domains. IIIT is expected to contribute significantly to the global competitiveness through the key sectors of Indian economy and Industry, focusing on applied research and education in IT in selected domain areas. The Private partnership is sought from a team of three companies namely, LULU Group International, ROLTA Foundation and CIAL (Cochin International Airport Limited). IIIT Kerala has been registered as a Society under Travancore, Cochin, Literary Scientific and Charitable Societies Registration Act, 1955.

IT Park, Kollam: A number of startup companies have commenced operations within the first IT building of Technopark. IT Park, Cherthala: Started operations. Currently 22 companies are functioning in this Park. The total employment strength is 460 IT professionals. IT Park, Koratty, Thrissur: The existing buildings in the IT Park, renovated by Infopark, Kochi are occupied by many companies and around 600 IT professionals are working here. IT Park, Kozhikode: Internal roads and 90% of compound wall were completed. The Common Facility Centre of Cyberpark is functional with the presence of administrative office and some start-up companies. The construction of first IT building of 2.88 lakh sq. ft. of Cyberpark is being completed. Steps have been initiated to implement the power and water supply projects in Cyberpark. IT Park, Kannur: The architectural cum engineering design for the first proposed IT building has been finalised for 50,000 sq. ft. IT building. The work was awarded to M/s. Lee Builder for Civil work and M/s. Zamil Steel India for PEB. SEZ status was obtained for the project. Civil work of IT building commenced. IT Park, Kasaragod: The architectural cum engineering design for the first proposed IT building has been finalised for 50,000 sq. ft. IT building. The work was awarded to M/s. RITEL Park: KSITIL formulated a scheme for the establishment of RITEL Park under Public Private Partnership (PPP) with an objective of expanding the IT industry across the State in a hub and spoke model by encouraging Micro, Small, Medium Scale Enterprises (MSMEs) in the IT/ITeS & Electronic Sector to operate from the low cost rural centres and thereby create employment predominantly in rural areas. IIIT Kerala – KSITIL was made the requisitioning authority for land acquisition for the project. 30 acres of land was acquired through negotiated purchase by Special Tahsildar (LA) for IIIT Kerala.

KFON (Kerala Fibre Optic Network) is an essential part of the Government ambitious plan to provide Internet connection to BPL families, government offices, hospitals and schools. About 12 lakhs Below Poverty Line (BPL) families will be given free Internet connection. About 2000 Wi-Fi hotspots across the state will help connect users in schools, hospitals, offices and houses. A joint venture of KSEB and KSITIL, KFON project commenced in March 2019 and is expected to be completed by December 2020. The project tender was awarded to a consortium led by Central PSU Bharat Electronics Ltd. KFON will help internet service providers and cable TV operators provide better service delivery.

KFON KFON,which aims to bring about high-speed internet connectivity at affordable rates in Kerala became a reality when Phase One of the project spanning Ernakulam, Thrissur, Palakkad, Pathanamthitta, Alappuzha, Kollam and Thiruvananthapuram, was inaugurated online by the state Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan on 15th February 2021. The KFON project will provide connectivity in these seven districts initially, covering 1000 government offices in all. 5700 more offices are expected to be covered by July this year. A total of 30,000 government offices will be getting their internet connectivity from KFON in the first phase of the project. Cables have been pulled using KSEB poles spanning 7500 km in length.

The building covering 2 lakh sq ft space located 9 kilometres away from Technopark is expected to create job opportunities. It was launched as an integrated township project on October 27, 2017. Leading global and Indian companies are setting up their businesses in Technocity, envisaged as the fourth phase of Technopark.
